During the past two weeks the ESL scholarship committee held a book sale by donation in the Old Main building. The event was a success, raising $621.00. The committee would like to thank everyone who took part and made a donation! The ESL Scholarship now has more than $12,000 with a goal of $20,000 to reach our first scholarship/endowment fund.
Their next event will be on Student Street, Nov 17, from 10am to 2pm where they will be selling hand-made Christmas cards and table centre pieces.
Students from various countries will be there creating personalized calligraphy signs in different languages. They will also be selling tickets for the annual fall semester Fun-raiser Dinner on Nov 18. All proceeds go towards the ESL scholarships.
