This year’s Thanksgiving turkey dinner on Oct. 7 was a huge success.
In its 13th year, the dinner was held at Upper College Heights and attracted about 300 students in about an hour and a half. International students also took in the event, giving them a real Canadian Thanksgiving experience.
About 20 volunteers — mostly TRU students and alumni belonging to 12 Stones Chapel, to Eruption House of Coffee, or the Love Your Neighbour Foundation — lent their time to the event.
The feast consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, squash, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and apple pie.
