Christine Sorensen has made a lasting impact at Thompson Rivers University by establishing an in-perpetuity family scholarship to support third-year Indigenous nursing students. A valued member of the TRU Board of Governors, she has served the region as a public health nurse, is the former president of the BC Nurses’ Union, and is of Métis heritage.
