The Joyce Family Foundation has generously approved a $50,000 endowment to help establish bursaries for First Generation learners (students who are of the first generation in their families to attend University) at TRU. The awards – $2000 each year, available to First Generation learners in any program who are facing socioeconomic barriers – will increase access to education and help enable students to achieve their goals. TRU extends sincere thanks to the Joyce Family Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting the social, economic, and emotional well-being of children and youth by empowering them to develop into healthy, confident, independent contributors to Canadian society, for their generosity and support in creating these transformational opportunities for students.
