The TRU Actor’s Workshop begins its 22nd season with Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), Ann-Marie MacDonald’s Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama comedy.
The plot surrounds Constance Ledbelly, an English professor who, in the course of trying to decode a manuscript which she believes is Shakespeare’s true source for Othello and Romeo and Juliet, is magically transported into the two tragedies and manages to turn both into comedies.
Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) runs Oct.27, 28, 29 and Nov. 3, 4, 5 at 8:00 pm in the Actors Workshop Theatre, located in TRU’s Old Main Building.
All tickets are $10, and can be purchased at the door on each performance night or in advance at the theatre box office. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. For theatre reservations, call 377-6100.
The Friday, November 4th performance is reserved for patrons of the 9th Annual Dinner Theatre.
Culinary Arts Faculty Ed Walker, Dagmar Kropac, Ron Rosentreter and their students have planned a very special evening beginning with an incredible buffet dinner.
