TRU School of Nursing’s Renée Anderson was among the 45 nurses recognized for excellence at the annual College of Registered Nurses of B.C. (CRNBC) awards ceremony on April 19, 2012 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Anderson, a well-respected lecturer is known for having a special talent for passing knowledge on to her students. While her focus is on nursing education, she also remains a professional nurse in acute care on a casual basis with the Royal Inland Hospital, translating an incredible amount of nursing knowledge into high-quality, front-line patient care.
Anderson received the Award of Excellence in Nursing Education.
Through the CRNBC Nursing Excellence Awards registered nurses honour colleagues for outstanding contributions to the nursing profession and for demonstrating excellence in relation to the CRNBC Professional Standards for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
The College of Registered Nurses of B.C. is the regulatory body for more than 39,000 registered nurses, nurse practitioners and licensed graduate nurses in British Columbia. 2012 marks 100 years of nursing regulation in British Columbia.
