TRU A Stop On Nursing Assn. Tour

December 9, 2011

Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) president Judith Shamian and a CNA team will be at TRU Dec. 11 and 12 as part of their mission to engage nurses, other health-care providers, government decision-makers and the media in a national dialogue on the future of Canada’s health system.

The Kamloops visit is part of a British Columbia tour, with other stops in Victoria (Dec. 13) and Vancouver (14).

They will be tackling a range of health-care issues that affect nurses and have an impact on the health of Canadians. The feedback and ideas shared on the tour will also be a part of CNA’s NurseAssn_CNAindependent National Expert Commission, which will develop policy recommendations to help shape Canada’s health-care system.

The following video is a message from CNA President Judith Shamian regarding American-created exams for Canadian RNs and matters around privacy of information. The video was uploaded Dec. 9, 2011.
