A group of students from both the TRU Pan African Club and the TRU Humanitarian Club are organizing a dinner to raise funds for a library in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and for a well for a school in Kenya.
“We believe that as students educated in international humanitarian crises,” said Jeremy Thompson of the TRU Humanitarian Club. “It is important for us to inform and involve the local community and other students at TRU of these important issues. This fundraiser will shed light on serious crises that affect the people of Kenya and DRC, and also will provide the community with an opportunity get involved with an important cause.”

The event will take place on April 8th at 6PM with a no host bar. A three course dinner will be served at 7PM followed by speakers at 8PM. Tickets are $50 and should be purchased in advance from Nancy Bepple (250-371-5982). If paying by cheque please write it to “Aoci Library”.
