The EQuilibrium™ Green Dream Home continues to earn recognition for TRU

GreenBC announced this week the finalists for the second annual Built Green BC Awards and TRU’s School of Trades and Technology is on the list. TRU Trades along with CHBA CI are up for a Highest Rated Built GreenBC Home award for their joint-entry of the Green Dream Home.

EQuilibrium™ Green Dream House 2

“The Green Dream Home Project, part of the CHMC EQuilibrium™ Demonstration Initiative, continues to shine as a very innovative award worthy home” said Brian Hayashi, President of CHBA Central Interior. “In the past year it has garnered five awards at various Awards Events throughout BC.

“This home was built as our 2010 Training House, a partnership between our local home builders’ association and the Thompson Rivers University construction foundations, electrical and plumbing programs in the School of Trades,” Hayashi added.

This year’s winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards in Vancouver on September 30.

CHBA Central Interior

CHBA Central Interior is an active residential builder association of 200 members representing the Central Interior region of BC.

Editor’s Note: In April of this year, the TRU Alumni & Friends Association awarded a Milestone Achievement Award to CHBA CI for its 20-year partnership with TRU’s School of Trades and Technology. Here’s the preview video.
