The Faculty of Education and Social Work is advancing research important to senior education leaders and all those connected to education across B.C. In February, Sherry Elwood, President of the B.C. School Superintendents Association (BCSSA) announced their decision to fund the TRU district leadership research project that will provide valuable information about how to create strong, effective school districts that enhance and support student learning. This project will be directed by Prof. Ken Leithwood (Ontario) in partnership with Thompson Rivers University’s Dr. Victoria Handford (School of Education; pictured) and Prof. Airini (Dean, Faculty of Education and Social Work). Interested in more information about this research and its exciting professional development program? Please contact Dr. Handford.
