Each spring for 6 weeks student fundraisers contact 14,000 alumni and past donors to connect them back to the University. Working after hours in the Advancement office, the student callers tell alumni and friends about benefits and services they are eligible for as well as ask for their support in this year’s annual appeal for student awards.
After committing to a donation, an Advancement employee found this message on her desk written by Fiona, a Business administration student from Zimbabwe:

I am truly grateful for your donation and I am sure the student that receives this award will be grateful too. Remember you are building someones dream. May your dreams come true too.
