The Official Opening of Volunteer Central for the Western Canada Summer Games took place outside the Culinary Arts building on July 22.

TRU President and Vice-Chancellor Alan Shaver, Kamloops Mayor Peter Milobar and WCSG President Henry Pejril cut a ribbon and chatted with volunteers attending Friday’s ceremony.

2,100 Volunteers will come through this building before the Games start on August 5th to receive their accreditation, uniforms, handbooks and orientation. The Centre will be a hub of activity over the next month.
