Media are invited to a double Trades event on Friday, March 8.
More than 300 students from Grades 6 and 7 in area schools will pick up hammers and socket wrenches to Try A Trade—or, actually, all 12 trades that TRU offers. Students will spend 35 minutes at each station with an instructor and helper to get hands-on
At the same time, the regional Skills competition is on for about 200 junior and senior students and their teachers. The Cariboo Junior Skills (Grades 6 to 9) and Cariboo Regional Skills (secondary and post-secondary) competitions are taking place simultaneously. Gold medal winners may go on to the Skills BC competition, then to Skills Canada.
