Several faculty members from the School of Social Work and Human Service joined in the TRUSU Pride Parade on September 28 to celebrate diversity in our community. From Dr. Wendy Hulko’s research on supporting LGBTQ youth in small cities and rural communities and LGBTQ individuals’ experiences with dementia, to courses in Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression and Social Work Practice with Diverse Populations, the School’s commitment to honouring diversity and bringing awareness to issues impacting the LGBTQ community is a vital part of its work.
