Dr. Juliana West, Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work and Human Service (Faculty of Education and Social Work), has been awarded a $2500 Accelerator Fund grant. This is an internal competition designed to assist faculty members in the development of grant applications to support their research. West’s interests are in decolonizing social work discourse, research, education, and practice through anti-oppression and anti-privilege at the personal, cultural, and structural levels, and her current research examines how social work education attracts, supports, and graduates Indigenous students.
