TRU’s Print Services is now offering students, faculty, and staff the option of using a forest-free based paper that is a hybrid of wheat and either plantation-grown Eucalyptus or Poplar fibre.
The Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper is 60 per cent wheat residue and 40 per cent Eucalyptus or Poplar. For the time being, Print Services is only offering the paper in letter size of 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches high.
How does it perform?
Print Services has performed a range of tests typical to the TRU community, and has found the paper stands up well to black and white and colour copying as well as has no issues with the Toshiba MFD printers and HP black and white printers.
Buying the paper
Students — Wheat Sheet is available at the Print Shop for $6 for each package of 500 sheets. Packages of 25 are also available for 50 cents. All taxes are included in both prices.
Staff and faculty — The paper is available at a reduced price by using the Print Shop’s online ordering system.

Print Services is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is located in Old Main in OM 1206.
