The following is an open letter to the TRU community from TRU Students’ Union president Dylan Robinson.
NOTE: in further communication, Robinson said the polling station is open as well to non-TRU community members and when applicable, ballots can be cast for any riding in British Columbia.

Campus community,
I am writing today to let you know about an important advance voting opportunity on campus for the upcoming provincial election.
As you may know, there are a number of ways that you can cast your ballot including mail-in ballots, advance voting, and voting in person at the Elections BC office in Kamloops.
I am excited to announce that this election the Students’ Union successfully lobbied to have an Advance Polling Place on campus.
The Advance Polling Place will be located at:
TRUSU Boardroom
Independent Centre
Thursday, May 9
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
In order to ensure that students, staff, and faculty may continue to have a convenient polling location for future federal, provincial, and municipal elections, we must as a community take advantage of this opportunity in significant numbers. To that end, I would encourage all campus community members to cast their ballots at the TRU Advance Polling Place on Thursday, May 9th.
For more information about the provincial election, and how/where to vote, visit the Elections BC website here: http://www.elections.bc.ca/
For a map indicating the location of the Independent Centre (A.K.A the Students’ Union Building), attached to the Campus Activity Centre, see this link: http://www.tru.ca/about_tru/kamloops/campus_map.html
Thanks very much for your time, and I hope to see many of you at the poll on Thursday!
Best regards,
Dylan Robinson
