A healthy bite into one of the many free hamburgers.

Orientation 2011 for first-year students was a success, attracting about 1,400 of the 1,600 eligible people—that’s about 200 more than organizers were expecting. So of course, food ran out earlier than expected, but hey, that’s another sign the event was a success.

Students were treated to TRU’s first New Student Convocation, given a souvenir Orientation coin, received a colour-coded t-shirt according to their declared area of study, an information and resource fair, free food, and more.
