Flags at TRU campuses are at half-mast to honour the memory of The Honourable Jack Layton, P.C., B.A., M.A., Ph.D.  Layton, of the Federal NDP, is former Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and Member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada.

Layton, who died at home early Monday (Aug. 22) after a battle with cancer, will be given a state funeral in Toronto on Saturday.

Flags will stay lowered until sunset, Saturday, Aug. 27.
