The Chronicle of Higher Education writes, “as Canadian colleges wrestle with how to internationalize their undergraduate programs, a number of models have emerged. Among the ambitious is a new global-competency program, which began this fall at Thompson Rivers University.”
The Chronicle recognized TRU for going the distance by creating a program that will give students a “global citizenship distinction.” Students at TRU can now recieve a formal certification for international focused activities through combinations of academics, service work and study abroad.
