TRU students Michael Magliocchi, Heather Shearlaw, and Colleen Twamley are giving a free performance on Friday outside the Pavilion Theatre.

In the event of rain, the show is inside.

The students’ performance – part of their English 447 class Studies in Aboriginal Literature (North American) — is a response to playwright Kenneth T. Williams’ play Thunderstick. Thunderstick is a Western Canada Theatre production and running through Oct. 9 at the Pavilion Theatre.

The students’ performance is weather permitting. If it’s a go, organizers suggest bringing a lawn chair.

As a bonus, playwright Kenneth T. Williams will conduct readings of his works on Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25.
Friday’s reading is at 3:30pm. Saturday is at noon.

Williams’ reading and the students’ performance are among the events in celebration of the pan-Canadian movement Culture Days.
