“We are extremely pleased that Larry is joining the team, and look forward to him extending our local, region and nation profile,” said Christopher Seguin, TRU Vice President of Advancement.

“That we were able to attract a high caliber candidate like Larry to the position speaks highly about our Athletics Program and TRU,” said Ken Olynyk, TRU Director Athletics. “Our program is maturing and developing a solid reputation, Larry and the other highly qualified candidates that applied attest to that.”

Read was recognized as TRU Distinguished Alumni in 2005. He’s graduate of UCC in 1993 from Marketing Management and from BCIT in 1982 in Broadcast Communications Journalism.

“I am excited at the prospect of becoming TRU’s Sports Information Officer as the WolfPack becomes more involved in the CIS,” said Read. “I look forward to being part of the team intent on making the Athletic Programs at TRU one of the cornerstones in the Tournament Capital of Canada initiative.”
