KAMLOOPS – Inspired students in cooperation with the Cariboo Student
Society are putting together a Benefit concert to attempt to raise
funds for victims of the Tsunami in South Asia on December 26, 2004.
The concert will take place on January 28, 2005 7:00 pm, in the
Independent Center at the University College of the Cariboo. This
will be a collaborative effort between students at UCC and people from
the Kamloops community in an attempt to foster something positive in
the wake of disaster.
All funds raised will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
King Size Suzi, Midlife Crisis, Seven Second Delay, A Cold Home In
The Sun, Graham Lazarovich, Paul Filek, and a special guest DJ are
some great live bands from the community who have already come forward
and agreed to play for this charity event. We encourage other live
bands to contact us if they would like to showcase their talents or
help in any way.
Lee’s Music has generously agreed to sponsor this event by donating a
sound system for this benefit concert.
A combination of Punk, Metal, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Techno music
will be showcased. This event is guaranteed to be a night of
entertainment and variety that should not be missed.
Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. Monitory
donations welcome. Advanced tickets can be bought from the Cariboo
Student Society, UCC Info Booth, Spinners Sound Centre or Tony Romas
(from the Kamloops location a $5.00 gift certificate to Tony Romas
will be awarded for each ticket sale, while quantities last).
