KAMLOOPS – Top-ranked Prince George Secondary School volleyballers on their way through the city on a road trip will set up across the net from the UCC Sun Demons Women’s team this Sunday at 9:00 am in the UCC Gymnasium.
In other volleyball news, several Sun Demons volleyball players have been named BCCAA League Leaders for the week ending October 24th:
In men’s action, UCC player Drew Venables is in top spot this week for aces per game: his 4 aces giving him a 1.00 average. He’s also in #8 spot for stuff blocks, with 3 giving him a .75 average.
Wade Giles is at #5 spot with 3 aces and a .75 average, and shares the #6 position in average kills per game with teammates Kyle Brewer and Devin Andrew, whose 13 kills give each a 3.25 average.
Andrew is also at #9 spot in aces, with 2 aces for a .50 average, and is also on the list for digs per game, with 5 digs giving him a 1.25 average.
Women’s team members Brenna Adkins, Lisa Strachan and Anna Davidson also made this week’s list, with Adkins ranking 7th in stuff blocks (3 for an average of 1.00) and 10th for kills (9 for a 3.00 average), Strachan at 9th spot in aces with 2 for an average of .67, and Davidson at 12th position in digs with 10 giving her a 3.33 average.
