KAMLOOPS-The 1st annual Popsicle-stick Bridge Contest, held Saturday, March 6th, drew 54 entries in three categories: elementary, secondary, and open.

Bridges had to conform to certain building specifications, and were judged on the weight they could sustain.

Winners in the Elementary division were:
1st Della Pick, Heffley Creek Elementary: 477 lbs.
2nd Dylan Cornell, Pacific Way Elementary: 199 lbs
3rd Alex Scott, Stuart Wood Elementary: 141 lbs

Winners in the Secondary division were:
1st Daniel Prescott & Eric Lustig (Sahali Secondary): 534 lbs
2nd Kyle Twynam, David Tao & Mark Buller (South Kamloops Secondary): 155 lbs
3rd David Norwell (Sahali Secondary): 142 lbs

Winners in the Open division were:
1st David Cruikshank & Jason Land (UCC Physics students): 540 lbs
2nd Steven Lopston: 317 lbs
3rd Scott Wallace (TRUE Engineering): 315 lbs
