Interested in applying for external research funding but don’t know where to begin? Need a refresher on what’s new in tri-agency grant applications for 2022? The MacEwan University Office of Research Services is hosting two agency-specific workshops to provide up-to-date information on SSHRC and NSERC research grants. Each workshop will be facilitated by expert grant writing consultants and consist of two half-day sessions.
Session 1 (Tuesday, June 7, 12 – 3 p.m.) is geared toward early-career researchers, established researchers who have not applied for NSERC before, or those who simply want a refresher. Includes an overview of applying to NSERC (where to start, what to know, eligibility, ccv, basic components of the grant application).
Session 2 (Wednesday, June 8, 12 – 3 p.m.) should be attended by seasoned researchers and anyone planning to submit an NSERC in the next year. It will focus more on the actual grant proposal components and what reviewers are looking for in each section (merit criteria, knowledge mobilization, EDI, research data management, training of HQP), and how to write a successful NSERC grant.
The events take place remotely.
Faculty are welcome to participate. Register to attend.
