Renowned Master Gardner, author, speaker and CBC radio personality Brian Minter presents Embracing the Issues of Climate Change through the World of Plants.

What Minter will discuss

Are Urban forests key to managing climate change? What are the fascinating positive effects of plants? Can gardening help tackle the climate crisis?

Plants are now considered a critical and multi-faceted solution to reducing climate change, and Minter will share how plants can have numerous positive effects to combat climate change, including carbon sequestering, climate cooling, and habitat renewal.

He will make the case that trees and plants should to be part of the climate solution for people, wildlife, and the planet.
