In memory

Sebastian Gardner was a Pacific Western Athletic Association all-star in 2012 but was forced to leave the game and his studies to battle cancer.

He returned to the field in 2013 for his final season and helped his team win the silver medal at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association national championship.

Gardner battled cancer courageously but succumbed to his illness in March 2017.

An admired and respected coach and social worker, Gardner left a lasting impression on many people. His memory lives on through the memorial scholarship which celebrates soccer, one of his greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.
