Thompson Rivers University

Garden tours: a different theme each week

The tours are generally an opportunity to:

Learn more about what’s growing on campus during an informal tour of the Horticulture Gardens.

With a different theme each Wednesday, gain insight into:

  • flowering plants and trees
  • what’s in bloom
  • annuals and perennials
  • ground covers
  • grasses
  • the gardens themselves.

See below for the themes.

Tours are led by  a member of TRU Friends of the Gardens.

What to wear

Dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear for walking on crushed gravel and grass.

Keep in mind some parts of the gardens can become shaded, so you may want to wear long sleeves or bring a sweater along.

Mosquitoes, bugs and insects may be present, so you may want to wear or bring along repellant.

Where to meet in the gardens

Meet at 6:30 p.m. behind House 10. The tour will start 10 minutes afterward.
