TRU Announcement

Follow-up Resources from Town Hall with
Dr. Carol Fenton, Interior Health Medical Officer

Dear TRU Community,

Thanks to all of you who attended the town hall with Dr. Carol Fenton, Interior Health’s medial health officer, on Sept. 9. I apologize for the late start to the town hall, but once we successfully reached Dr. Fenton, she enthusiastically answered a wealth of questions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you to everyone who sent in such great questions.

For anyone who could not attend or who would like to listen to the call again, the recording is now available

An overview of the questions and answers is posted on our COVID-19 Response website. Time stamps have been provided for answers addressed on the call.

Here are the links that Dr. Fenton referenced she would send:

• Interior Health COVID-19 testing information

• Cleaning and disinfectants for public settings

• List of disinfectants with evidence for use against COVID-19

It’s natural that navigating the ongoing challenges of living and learning with COVID-19 would raise many questions for us, so I am glad our community had this opportunity to ask those that are most important to us.

As a reminder, TRU’s safety protocols are in compliance with WorkSafe BC and we are also following the province’s COVID-19 Go-Forward Guidelines for post-secondary institutions. You can learn more about our plans for a safe return to campus on the Risk Management Services COVID area of our website.

Sincerely,

Matt Milovick
Vice-President Administration and Finance
