Recent news that the Tampa Bay Rays might split their season between Montreal and Florida has generated some Major League Baseball buzz.

TRU Law Assistant Professor Ryan Gauthier has written about and researched sports organization governance. Last year, he published Cap in Hand: How Salary Caps are Killing Pro Sports and Why the Free Market Could Save Them. He also wrote about public money being used for sports stadiums for The Conversation Canada.

He is a reviewer for the International Sports Law Journal and he wrote about the Phoenix Coyotes bankruptcy for the Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. He is also a non-practicing member of the New York Bar.
