Research ethics for graduate students

Research is a step into the unknown and because it seeks to understand something not yet revealed, it often entails risks to participants and others. These risks can be trivial or profound, physical or psychological individual or social. Ethics principles and guidelines play an important role in advancing the pursuit of knowledge while protecting and respecting research participants in order to try to prevent negative occurrences.

This workshop, led by Research Ethics and Compliance Officer Debbie Krebs, will explain all you need to know about ethics requirements in your research, be it with humans, animals or biological materials.
