Teaching and enjoying it

According to BC Student Outcomes, TRU BEd graduates report a high level of satisfaction with their education and are very employable—99 percent of the class of 2016 is employed in a range of educational settings. Graduates can be educators in Indigenous communities, private tutors, teacher-librarians, counsellors, special education teachers, ESL teachers and museum instructors.

BEd graduates interested in pursuing leadership and research opportunities often go on to complete the TRU Master of Education (MEd) degree.

“Teaching gives you the opportunity to be creative, collaborate with colleagues, and most importantly, make a difference in the lives of children and youth,” Churchley added.
