Dr. Edward Howe, Assistant Professor in the School of Education (Faculty of Education and Social Work), presented his research at Ryerson University in Toronto as part of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) Conference, held on May 27-31, 2017. Howe’s paper, “A narrative inquiry of internationalization within a Canadian university: Voices from transborder students,” explores how universities, communities, and nations become internationalized through the presence of transborder students, and suggests that innovative university programs focused on internationalization and global citizenship can help ameliorate social justice issues around access, diversity, and equity. Howe also presented as part of a team of TRU School of Education researchers around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education.
