Dr. Georgann Cope Watson, Sessional Lecturer in the School of Education (Faculty of Education and Social Work), recently had an opportunity to share her research – focusing on the experience of teaching university part-time – at both international and provincial forums. On April 30, 2017, Cope Watson presented her paper “Self-Study of Teacher Education Practice (S STEP) as a Methodology for Part Time University Teachers” at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Later that week, on May 6, Cope Watson was at the Precarious Academic Labour in the Age of Neoliberalism Conference at Okanagan College in Kelowna to present her paper, “Part Time Teaching Work in the University: A Self Study.”
