Dr. Angus Duff, assistant professor in the School of Business and Economics, and John O’Fee, sessional in the Faculty of Law, wrote an op-ed for The Province, arguing that despite the recently submitted private member’s bill to prohibit employers from requiring female staff to wear high-heel shoes, there are already laws allowing workers to choose footwear styles. Federal and provincial regulations already make it illegal to force women to follow different workplace standards than men.
